ADULT LEADERSHIP

Troop 222 is supported by a large committee and many parent Merit Badge Counselors. Part of what makes our large Troop successful is that there are many hands to make the work easier and all are welcome to contribute. We look forward to adding you to our list of volunteers.

 ADRIAN KARVER

SCOUTMASTER

Current position:  Scoutmaster

Prior positions served:  Troop 222 Assistant Scoutmaster & Adult Quartermaster,  Pack 69 Cubmaster, Committee Chair, Den Leader,

Unit Commissioner, Day Camp Staff, Wood Badge Staff, Horseshoe Scout Reservation Campmaster.

My Scouting journey did not begin as a youth, it began when my oldest son came home from his first week in 1st grade with a ‘Join Cub Scouts’ flyer.  Before I knew it, I was signing him up, becoming a Den Leader and spending irreplaceable time with my sons as they learned, gained confidence and had fun on their Scout journey.  While I primarily became involved for my own sons, I have witnessed firsthand so many youth gain life lessons and memories in Scouting that they cannot get anywhere else.  I firmly believe that this program will give our youth the tools they need to lead us into the future with heart, character, integrity, joy and respect for all.

TONY PICCONE

COMMITTEE CHAIR

I started with the Scouts when my son joined as a Tiger scout in 1st grade. I never looked back, and neither did he. I volunteered as an Assistant Den Leader and eventually Committee Chair for Pack 69. When my son joined Troop 222, I learned all about outdoor activities helping with the Activities Committee planning camping trips and other adventures culminating in a trip to Philmont! I am lucky to be part of a great team of people who make this troop a great place for scouts to grow and have fun

SAM HILLANBRAND

RECRUITER / NEW MEMBER COORDINATOR

I like long hikes in the park, drinking Nalgene bottles of water, and getting caught in the rain.

Kidding aside, I got involved in scouts because I believed it would be a great bonding experience for my son and I, which it was. Now six years later I have had the opportunity to see first hand the growth in leadership and skills of not only my son, but all of the scouts in the troop. I am so proud of them that they will be our future.
